One of the reasons I love cooking at Karma is I love it when people enjoy my food. I get great satisfaction in answering, "yes I made it" when someone inquires about a food item they love. While we sometimes have to purchase things from other merchants, we do try and make as much of the food as possible here at Karma, with local, fresh, and when possible organic products (we so miss our farmers and the markets-so happy they will be back soon). I love baking and last evening it was wonderful to have cinnamon buns sell out as soon as I pulled them from the oven! As most people know, I gave up the job of cooking almost as soon as we opened Karma and have just taken it back. I am so glad that I am back doing what I love! I also am so glad to have Jonathan W. assisting me. He is a great cook and a wonderful person to collaborate with. Yesterday's French Onion Soup was a joint collaboration and we sold out almost as soon as we posted it!!! And yes, it felt good to say "yes, I made it"-with the help of Jonathan. Come in to Karma this week for some new and wonderful foods-we are always working on new things, while keeping your old favorites.
