I believe in prayer, and at times there is nothing more you can do than pray. There are other times when action is required. When I was younger, a group of people were collecting money to buy bibles to inform people in another country about the "True God". I asked why they wanted to send poor people bibles and I was told, "Everyone needs to know about Jesus" and informed that the country was poor, so they didn't have bibles. My thought, at ten years old (I have to boast, but I was pretty smart) was, "that is really great, but if you are poor would you not rather have food, shelter and other necessities-do you really need a bible". My thought at 58 is the same: nothing wrong with a bible-I have several, but if you are poor there are things you need much more. Today, as we begin a month of celebrating the fallen angels and survivors of Breast Cancer, this past event enters my mind. We need to pray- for those we love, to conquer this disease, for those with the ability to find a cure, and those who have had a loss to be comforted BUT we also need to take action!!! I am still researching (I have until tomorrow, when Karma opens!) what we can do to make a difference. I noticed some friends will be donating hair, some will be donating time and money to different charities and I want to do something I feel strongly about (don't I always-I am a loud little person!). So, if you have a suggestion and want to join in-come aboard. We have some strong survivors on our team: Our own Lavonda, and my Mother-in-Law and Many Angels! Come join us, starting tomorrow-I will post what we are doing! Praying and Bible giving are certainly fine and can be included with all things-but you also have to take action. See you soon!!!
