I so appreciate everyone telling me lately how much they love my baked goods. I love it when I can make people happy with my cooking.
Many years ago, I made all my own breads, rolls and tons of bake goods-I baked everyday. My oldest daughter's friends still remember some of their favorites-my rolls, cookies and cinnamon buns. Through the years the hustle and bustle of life found me picking up treats and breads instead of cooking and my younger children didn't even know I can bake and cook!
I started baking again and remember why I love it (other than the fact I am a foodie and love what tastes good!!)-creating and finding great recipes; experimenting with great results (and, everyone once in a while, a dud that gets tossed); and the good feeling I get when someone tells me they love my food. Thank you to all the people who told me they loved my baked goods the best, came twice in one week because they love our food, and everyone who supports us, so I can keep baking! Thank you to Jonathan W. for being there when I need him and being a great cook, so I can spend time baking and creating recipes!
I will be buying some gluten free items from Zen Cat, for those who need a gluten free bakery product, but I will also bake gluten free for those who choose gluten free as a healthy option or have a mild intolerance to gluten (the majority). All regular baking (other than bread and a trip to Main Street Cake Shoppe for cupcakes, if I can find the time to get there! I miss April's cupcakes-and while I can and probably will bake some-hers are really good. I am a foodie and like eating other great cooks food!) will be done by me!!
So, I will share Karma Baked Good List and new finds for the week: Vanilla Bean Scones will be available most of the week, if not all week (baking tons and have orders for these), Giant Cherry Pecan Spice Muffins with Vanilla Bean Glaze (my own concoction, and quite yummy), Flourless Truffle Tart-Chocolate Goodness and gluten free (but, again, cooked the Karma Kitchen, which does have flour in it), and much more! I will be off tomorrow to get our freshly baked breads at Great Harvest Bread, and dedicated gluten free from in Greensboro, dedicated gluten free goodies and to bake some yummy treats for our customers!!!!
Maybe if you are lucky, I will bake some of my famous Cinnamon Buns with my nut of choice and yummy glaze. These are filled with cinnamon, brown sugar and secret spices rolled and then glazed. They were my children and their friends favorite treat (and take hours to finish-just due to rising time and a slow baker-me). If you had my yeast rolls a couple of weeks ago, I promise these are just as good (or better, if you have a sweet tooth!). See you Tuesday!! Have a blessed Sunday and Monday-stay warm!!!
